Regan Henley is a multimedia artist and Computer Art MFA Candidate at Syracuse University, in central New York. An Arizona native, she obtained her undergraduate degree in Intermedia Art from the Herberger Institute of Design and the Arts at Arizona State University. In 2016, she debuted her first solo show “C@tharsis”, exploring the use of social digital technologies in the mourning and grieving process, which included several video installations as well as experimental web-based media. A cyberfeminist, activist, and radical leftist she is interested in using technology as an intersectional, egalitarian equalizer that is both accessible and cathartic. Her work focuses on technology’s potential as emotional and interpersonal tools and contemporary online discourse on identity, loss, digital curation of self, and new visual languages and memes.
